My health issues have been affecting my ability to do certain thing but the one that is most frustrating is being able to take long walks and going up any type of incline. It makes me mad, sad, frustrated, afraid etc. This past weekend I took a walk on my favorite beach. I was able to walk three jetties instead of miles. Instead of feeling my usual negative feelings about what I can’t do, I slowed down, reveled in the gorgeous day and found joy in the nature that surrounded me. I need to work on changing that negative voice to one of more compassion.
