What’s in a Name?

What’s in a name you say? Well, if you grew up with a name like Grace you would know it is a hard name to live up to. My grandmother named me after the actress and later, the princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly. My grandmother lived during the golden years of Hollywood…the years of beauty and glamour. Since she wanted me to be the next Miss America, and have a life with a fairy tale ending, Grace was the perfect name.

Unfortunately, superficial beauty and glamour was never my thing, so I quickly understood what it was like to fall from grace. Still, I believe my grandmother was divinely inspired to give me a name that would one day inspire my spiritual growth. Through some of the most challenging times of my life, and there were many, by default of my name, grace was ever present even in the darkest times. No matter what happened, I was always reminded of grace

Be Inspired with Grace not only means let me inspire you, but it also means let divine grace inspire you.

Dr. Wayne Dyer says that to be inspired means “to be in spirit”.  So, let’s put all of that together:

Being inspired with grace means to be in the spirit of love, kindness, compassion, mercy, favor; a disposition to benefit or serve another.

I have given our new name a lot of thought- more than I care to mention. However, I wanted our name to create a meaningful intention…one that the universe could use to create a map that will help us (me) live up to its meaning. This journey is about you and me. It is also about us collectively because we rise by lifting others.

Our new name is filled with lofty ideals, I know, but would you expect anything less from grace? 😉
