GRATITUDE CHANGES EVERYTHING
The Practice of Gratitude has been the foundation for transformative change in my life. It is the reason why I end every yoga class with a pause, so that everyone in the room can reflect on those things they are grateful for. I have taught thousands of classes and I end each one the same way.
It is true what they say, the more you practice the more you will have to be gratitude for. It’s incredible how that happens. Imagine living life with the energy flow of everything is a miracle. It is possible because everything is a miracle. For example, the simple act of breathing is miracle. Just ask someone who has trouble breathing and they will tell you what a blessing an effortless breath is.
“There are two ways to live your life. One as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is a miracle.” -Albeit Einstein
We take a lot for granted especially the small things. That is why the practice of gratitude is so important. As we begin to be grateful for small things, we begin to see the connection to the bigger and how one thing leads to another. The Practice of Gratitude is simple; however, it is like the practice of mindfulness-you have to remember to do it. Sounds silly but it’s true.
Taking this challenge, you help you make time to reflect on your answers to questions designed to create awareness for all of those things you already have in your life. If you aren’t grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you would be happy with more?
